The following are local (mid-south) agencies we are familiar with if you or someone you know requires assistance:
 
 
MIFA
  • Provides vouchers for a five day supply of nonperishable food to be redeemed at a local food pantry.
  • There is a four voucher limit each year [calendar].
  • Provides rent/mortgage/utility assistance.
  • Provides limited assistance with pharmacy needs.

Neighborhood Christian Center - Emergency Assistance
All Emergency Assistance calls are screened through the hotline. Utility and rent assistance requests are taken on second Tuesday of each month at 10:00 am.
Other emergency assistance requests (food, clothing, furniture, e.g.) are taken Monday through Friday.
Provides emergency assistance with food, clothing, furniture, appliances, utilities, funerals, emergency travel, etc.

Second Presbyterian Church - Divorce Recovery
Provides a 10-week workshop each spring and fall to help participants adjust to divorce.
Also provides Rainbows program for children.
