Facility Use Policy

 

1.) FEE FOR BUILDING USE - For members using the church for showers, birthdays, or anniversaries; there is a $100.00 cleaning deposit. After a scheduled event, if building has been cleaned and returned to its original state prior to the event, then deposit will be refunded. There will be no charge for non-profit groups such as Boy Scouts or community groups (subject to approval). If members using the church rearrange any furniture, furniture should be arranged as it was before the member(s) use.  In addition members should clean and remove any trash left. 

 

2.) FEES FOR WEDDINGS - For members - No Charge. However $100.00 cleaning deposit is required.  

 

3.) WEDDING FEES FOR NON-MEMBERS - $100.00 building use fee.

 

4.) FEES FOR FUNERALS – Because of limited space, formal funerals will not be held in our building. We will however, allow for memorial services that will not require an actual casket in attendance.

 

5.) NO GROUP(s) OR PERSON(s) will be permitted to use church building or church equipment or furniture for any meeting, conference or event for personal gain or profit.

 

6.) PROCEDURE FOR RESERVING CHURCH - Individual or group is to contact McKinley “Mack” Martin, Director of Operations for facility use approval. Contact information is: 901-552-3401 or McKinley@tcots.org.

 

7.) KEYS: No keys will be given to non-staff or non-board members. Entry to the building must be pre-arranged through the Operations Department.

 

8.) CHURCH FURNISHINGS: It is the general policy that no church furnishings will leave the church premises. For exceptions, arrangements must be made and approved through the Operations Dept. If approved (tables, chairs, etc… are only permitted for a maximum outside use of 24 hours and must be returned and stored before the next scheduled service).

 

9.) BUILDING SECURITY: For your personal security, do not unlock doors that are not necessary for your meeting. In advertising your meeting, give guidance to which door will be open. Be sure to lock all doors you opened before leaving the building. TCOTS is not responsible for armed or ‘manned” security during NON-TCOTS events. TCOTS related events are:  Sunday Services, TCOTS sponsored concerts, bible studies, TCOTS band/music rehearsals).

 

10.) KITCHEN: The Kitchen may be used for storage of food & beverages related to and associated with the event taking place. Cooking is not permitted for non-TCOTS events unless prior arrangements have been made and approved by the Operations Department. No TCOTS-owned paper/plastic or cookware may be used for NON-TCOTS events.

 

 

11.) ALCOHOL & SMOKING: TCOTS is a smoke-free environment, and smoking is prohibited in the building or on the church property. Alcohol consumption is also prohibited in the building or on the church property.

 


Performance/Equipment Policy

MUSICAL PERFORMANCES

 

1)     There will be no building fee charge for recitals by individual members of the congregation.  $100.00 cleaning deposit is required.

 

 

2)     Student recital fees shall be $100.00 for facility usage on day of recital for NON-TCOTS members.

 

 

3)     Performances by professional musical groups shall be a minimum of $250.00 per event in addition to a $100.00 cleaning fee. Groups defined as "professional" are those who charge admission.

 

EQUIPMENT USE

 

1)     Audio visual equipment available upon request and must be approved by the Operations Department.

 

2)     If TCOTS equipment is used it must remain in its original position (drums, keyboards, etc…) and all sound settings must be returned to their original settings.

 

3)     Use of TCOTS sound, laptops, copiers, and musical instruments is prohibited for NON-TCOTS events, unless prior arrangements have been made and approved by the Operations Department.

 

4)     Non TCOTS equipment may not be stored in the TCOTS facility. No exceptions.
